Acuitas and River Strategies Join Forces to Offer Clients More Services

Acuitas and River Strategies Join Forces to Offer Clients Full-Service Government Relations, Strategic Communications and Marketing Services in Lansing, Detroit and Chicago

Acuitas, a Lansing based government relations and advocacy group, and River Strategies, a women-owned full-service marketing and public relations firm with offices in Detroit and Chicago announce they have launched a formal partnership. The merging of talent brings marketing, branding, digital strategy, public relations and public affairs under “one roof” – offering clients efficient and comprehensive strategies.  The collaboration will bring to the table a broad and completely integrated approach to advocacy – a trend that has grown successfully in Washington D.C. in an era when controlling the message on all channels is key.

“The partnership with River Strategies and Acuitas differentiates us in a meaningful way.  Today’s environment requires constant innovation, and the ability to manage complex change and implement strategies successfully. This partnership with River Strategies hits on every level,“ said Kevin Korpi, principal at Acuitas.

In addition to government relations and advocacy, the firms will offer the following services:

  • Public relations
  • Digital marketing
  • Coalition management
  • Media relations
  • Brand development
  • Marketing
  • Grassroots and grasstops campaigns
  • Media training
  • Campaign strategy
  • Event planning

“This partnership came about because both of our firms had experienced powerful success with a strategy that is aligned on all fronts – advocacy, media relations, communication.  We wanted to bring that efficiency and targeted approach to every client we work with,” said Sarah Hubbard, principal at Acuitas.

Leaders at the firms say they will continue to work with corporate, issue-based and non-profit clients out of their offices in Detroit, Lansing and Chicago.

We’re growing our footprint in the Midwest at an exciting time. Our clients are passionate and think big, and partnering with Acuitas is part of our effort to build the most powerful resource for our clients,” said Hayley Burns, partner at River Strategies.

Acuitas and River Strategies are formally announcing their partnership at a specialty cocktail and viewing party during the State of the State address at the Acuitas office in Lansing on February 12, 2019.  The cocktail menu will feature drinks such as the “Straits of Mackinac” and the “Fix the Damn Roads”.
